In February 2024 designer Jordan Askill and contemporary beach and lifestyle brand Double Rainbouu partnered with marine organisation Sea Shepherd Conservation Society to launch ‘The Vaquita Project.’

The Vaquita Project is a limited capsule collection of apparel and jewellery designed in collaboration by long-time friends, creative Jordan Askill and Double Rainbouu’s Mikey Nolan. Funds from sales of the capsule will be donated directly to Operation Milagro, Sea Shepherd’s campaign to protect the critically endangered vaquita porpoise in Mexico’s Sea of Cortez.

“Our passion for marine life and environmental conservation extends to various initiatives, from documenting and exposing environmental crimes to conducting research and raising public awareness,” expresses Sea Shepherd. “We have partnered with Jordan Askill and Double Rainbouu to continue to raise awareness about the precious vaquita, who are on the brink of extinction. This year marks the 10th anniversary of our Milagro campaign that is dedicated to protecting these majestic mammals.”

 

In support of the project, Jordan Askill created a range of vaquita pendants and earrings using certified recycled gold and silver, available only at JORDANASKILL.COM. Double Rainbouu produced a 100% GOTS Organic Cotton t-shirt and hoodie, for sale directly via the brand’s website: doublerainbouu.com.
